PAINTINGS OF LDS TEMPLES

Today is a very exciting day because my paintings of temples are now featured on a new website!!!

When I think about when I started being an artist, it seems like I was just born that way. I started drawing early as a child because my parents found that I would be quiet in church, if I had a pencil and paper in my hands. I have been drawing and painting ever since. I've painted in oils and pastels for years, but the last few years I have been painting mostly in acrylics. It is a more difficult medium, but I really enjoy it.

I live in Preston, Idaho. Preston is a small town with wide streets and a quiet, pretty atmosphere. Many of my paintings are based on places I’ve been or seen (I went backpacking through Italy, France, and Germany with three of my daughters), and many are places I imagine. I also love to do portraits. Each painting comes from an excited feeling inside and I can hardly put my brush down when I am working on a painting.

Marciangelo is a nickname given to me by my husband. It is his fun way of saying ‘Marcia Ann.’ I love my nickname, and my husband. We have seven great children; three of them are also artists. Often, I will sign a painting with Marciangelo.
